Expert emissions advisory

Emissions expertise, on its own or with AroIQ.

An advisory practice in its own right since 2018. The same scientists who build AroIQ's models take on measurement strategy, OGMP 2.0, technology selection, regulatory reporting and landfill methane — as engagements of their own.

Advisory and software

On its own, or alongside AroIQ.

An advisory engagement doesn't need our software, and AroIQ doesn't need an advisor. Each works without the other — start with whichever fits the question.

Software

Software your team runs itself.

  • AroIQ reads the SCADA data you already collect, continuously — operational and emissions events, likely causes, volumes with their range, ranked by what they cost.
  • Your operations and emissions teams work from it directly. No advisory engagement needed.
  • AroViz keeps an LDAR program's surveys, findings and repairs in one place.

Advisory

Emissions decisions you can defend.

  • Which measurement program satisfies your regulator at a cost you can sustain.
  • How your inventory reconciles against site-level measurement — and how to defend it.
  • Which detection technology fits which site, and why.
  • Reports and alternative-method applications that hold up under review.

Want both? They work together. Same team, same science — the inventory we help you build and the events AroIQ quantifies speak the same language.

01 · Strategy

Measurement strategy modelling

Fugitive emissions management · alt-FEMP

We design fugitive emissions management programs on evidence, not guesswork. Using our AroFEMP modelling, we simulate how candidate technology combinations and survey frequencies perform against your emissions profile, cost constraints and regulatory requirements — before you commit budget.

Most regulator-approved alternative leak detection programs (alt-FEMPs) in Canada were designed and supported by Arolytics.

02 · Reporting

OGMP 2.0 support

Inventories · reconciliation · regulatory strategy

OGMP 2.0 asks for source-level inventories reconciled against site-level measurement. We support operators through the framework — from gap assessment and measurement planning to Level 4 source-level quantification, Level 5 site-level reconciliation, measurement-informed inventories and regulatory strategy.

Our reconciliation work rests on real measurement campaigns and the statistics to defend them. AroIQ's per-event volumes, each with its range, give the source-level side an event-specific, documented number to stand on.

03 · Technology

Sensor-agnostic technology guidance

Selection · deployment · fit to profile

We've independently evaluated 125+ detection technologies — handheld, continuous, vehicle, aerial and satellite. We don't sell hardware, so our recommendations are shaped by your emissions profile and budget, not a product line.

The result: a technology suite matched to what you actually need to find, at a price your program can carry.

04 · Regulatory

Regulatory reporting

Submissions · methods · documentation

We help operators prepare, review and defend their regulatory emissions reports — choosing a quantification method for each source, documenting how every number was built, and reconciling the inventory against what was measured in the field.

The file behind a report matters as much as the report. When a regulator asks how a number was reached, the answer is already written down.

05 · Landfill

Landfill methane

Surface emissions · alternative methods

Under EPA and state rules, landfills that collect their gas survey the cover for surface methane — usually on foot, on a fixed schedule. Using a different method in place of that survey takes an approved alternative. We prepare those applications: the program design, the performance evidence and the application itself, written for the EPA or the state regulator.

Arolytics has helped clients achieve alternative-method approval in the US, and works with the EPA and state regulators on landfill methane.
